Francis J. McDonald

Francis J. McDonald, 80, of 116 Edna Road died Wednesday at Community-General Hospital.

Mr. McDonald was a life resident of Syracuse. He retired in 1965 after 25 years with General Motors Corp.

Mr. McDonald was a member of the Valley Men's Club and the United Auto Workers Union. He was a former member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians.

Surviving are a son, Thomas MacDonald of Syracuse; a daughter, Marlene Wendel of Lancaster; 15 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home and 11 a.m. in Our Lady of Lourdes Church. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery.

Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, 4612 S. Salina St.

Contributions may be made to Community-General Hospital.

Mrs. John Shadick

Mrs. Julia M. Shadick, wife of John Shadick of 125 Plunkett Street, died early yesterday morning at the House of Mercy after a long illness.

Mrs. Shadick was born in Oster Bay. L. I. and had lived in this city 42 years. She was a member of St. Martin's Episcopal Church and the Ladies' Aid Society. The survivors are her husband, five nephews, John, Arthur and Charles W. Falkner of this city; Frederick Miller of Waterbury,Conn., and William Miller of Washington, D. C.,three nieces, Miss Anna R. Miller of Brooklyn, Mrs John Buckley of Waterbury and Sister Marie Pacificus of Ashville,N.C., and 18 grandnephews and nieces.

The body was taken to the Wellington Funeral Home, 220 East Street where a prayer service will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2 followed by a service at 2:30 at St. Martin's Church. Rev. Louis P. Nisen of Lee will officiate. Burial will be in Pittsfield Cemetery.

Members of the family will meet friends at the funeral home this afternoon from 3 to 5 and tonight from 7 to 9.

Sarah Miller Ingraham

The funeral of Sarah E., wife of Charles Ingraham who died at her home Wednesday morning was held Friday afternoon at the Methodist church. Rev. C. E. Bissell officiated. She is survived by a husband and six children.

Mrs. Carmella Spatuzzi

Mrs. Carmella Spatuzzi, 50, widow of Saverio Spatuzzi, 938 Lansing Street, died yesterday, Jan. 16, 1936, in a local hospital after a short illness.

Carmella Mirra Spatuzzi was born in Pignola, Italy, Feb. 2, 1885, and came to Utica 33 years ago. She was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Church.

She leaves four sons Anthony, Nicholas, Samuel and William, and a daughter, Mrs. Alexander Cardamone.

Wednesday, December 13 STACK -- The funeral for Barbara C. Stack, 87, who died Dec. 10, 2006, will be Thursday at 8:15 a.m. from DEVANNY-CONDRON FUNERAL HOME, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. at St. Joseph's Church celebrated by the Rev. Michael Shershanovich. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours will be today from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Donations in her memory may be made to St. Mark's Food Pantry in care of the funeral home. She leaves two sons, David Stack and Brian Stack, both of Pittsfield; two daughters, Barbara Stack Russo and Stacy Stack, both of Pittsfield; four brothers, John Murray of Lee, Paul Murray of Conn., William Murray of Pittsfield and Kevin Murray of New Baltimore, N.Y.; two sisters, Margaret Knight of Pittsfield and Constance Brandon of Laurel, Md.; a daughter-in-law, Gail Stack; six grandchildren, Christopher Stack, Shannon Magee, Jennifer Luby, Jeffrey Russo, and Sean and Megan Stack; six great-grandchildren, Emily Korzendorfer, Jack and Megan Luby, Brendan and Kyra Russo, and Leah Verchot; five sisters-in-law, Sarah, Florence and Mary Murray, Betty Stack and Margaret Hebert; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters, Priscilla Pipp and Hope Cimini.

Walter Murray
72, Retired
Letter Carrier

Walter L. Murray, 72, of 51 Brown St., died this morning at his home following a short illness. He was born in Cheshire, the son of Thomas and Julia Irons Murray and moved to Dalton at the age of five. He was a Dalton High School graduate and a graduate of the Albany Business College. He retired as a letter carrier for the Pittsfield Post Office in 1949 and for the past eight years was maintence man at the Berkshire Life Insurance Co. He was a communicant of St. Mary's Church and a member of its Holy Name Society. He was also a fourth degree Member of the Knights of Columbus.

Besides his wife, the former Mary Hall, he leaves nine children, Mrs. William J. Knight, Mrs. David F. Stack, Mrs. Joseph P. Pipp, Mrss. Dominic Cimini all of Pittsfield; Mrs. Gilbert Brandon of Alexandria, Va.; John W. Murray of Lee, Paul J. Murray of Tyler, Tex.; Keith Murray of Houma, La., and Keith D. Murray of Pittsfield.

Services will be held Thursday with a Solemn High Mass of Requiem at St. Mary's Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery.

Friends may call at the home of the deceased at their convenience after 4 tomorrow afternoon.
