Mrs. Allan F. Codding

Mrs. Genevieve Dion Codding, 53, of 90 Westchester Ave. died Sunday at the Pittsfield General unit BMC, after a long illness.

Born in Pittsfield, a daughter of the late Edward and Cornelia Pike Dion, she was the wife of Allan F. Codding and a member of St. Charles' Church.

Besides her husband, she leaves two sons, Edward A. and Noel J. Codding, both of Pittsfield; two brothers, Raymond Dion of Cambridge and Alexander Dion of Albany, N.Y.; two sisters, Mrs. Eleanor Trudeau of Adams and Mrs. Evelyn Rheaume of Pittsfield, and three grandchildren.

The funeral will be held tomorrow at 9 with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at St. Charles' Church. Burial will be in Cheshire Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Dery Funeral Home today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Berkshire Medical Center Cancer Research Fund.

Edward Dion Jr.

Edward Dion Jr., 64 of 1 Turner Avenue, retired GE employe, died this morning at Hillcrest Hospital after a short illness.

A native of New Bedford, Mr. Dion was born Aug. 12, 1888, and had lived in Pittsfield 30 years. For 27 years he was employed in the transportation department at GE. He was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church and was a member of the GE Quarter Century Club. Survivors are two sons, Raymond E. of Cambridge and Alexander A. of Albany, N.Y.; three daughters, Mrs. Charles Trudeau of North Adams, Mrs. Edward Rheaaume and Mrs. Allan Codding, both of this city; six grandchildren; five sisters, Mrs. Clara Laundry of North Adamas, Mrs. Edward Alcombright, Mrs. Jared Finch, Mrs. Eugene LaFortune and Miss Laura Dion; a brother William Dion, all of Pittsfield; and several nieces and nephews.

The body rests at the Dery Funeral Home where the funeral will be held Saturday morning followed at St. Joseph's Church with a high mass of requiem. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery.

The family will meet friends at the funeral home tonight and tomorrow evening from 7 to 10 and tomorrow afternoon 2 to 5.

Samuel H. Dorgan

Samuel H. Dorgan 80, of 86 North St., retired General Electric employee, died this morning at St. Luke's hospital following a short illness.

A native of Cummington, Mr. Dorgan was born Dec. 28, 1877, son of Peter and Ellen Dorgan, and spent most of his life in Pittsfield. He had a long service at GE before his retirement. He was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church. He leaves his wife, the former Nettie Ingraham, and several nieces and nephews.

The body rests at the Meechan Funeral Home where the funeral will be Fridaay morning followed at St. Joseph's Church with a Solemn Requiem Mass. Burial will be in Cheshire Cemetery.

The family will meet friends at the funeral home tonight and tomorrow evening from 7 to 9 and tomorrow afternoon from 2 to 4.

David Drazen Dies
Was Retired Farmer

David Drazen of 241 Wallingford died December 8. He was the husband of Ida Drazen and a retired farmer.

He also leaves a sister, Dorothy Perlmutter of New York City, and two grandchildren.

Services were held at 11 a.m. today (Thursday) at Temple Beth David. Interment was in Cheshire Cemetery. A period of mourning will be observed at the Drazen residence through Thursday evening.

Weller Funeral Home, 493 Whitney Avenue, New Haven, was in charge of arrangements.
